A vapour barrier is one of those components you'll never see once the sauna's finished but it's what stands between a sauna that lasts decades and one that quietly develops mould and rot inside the walls. Our sauna vapour barrier is a paper-backed, completely non-toxic foil, made specifically for sauna conditions, and installed floor to ceiling behind your battens and cladding to keep moisture out of the structure for good.

Installation note: Fit the vapour barrier from floor to ceiling with the reflective side facing into the sauna interior. Overlap seams by at least 100mm and tape all joints with a high-temperature foil tape to create a fully sealed barrier. Battens are then fixed on top of the foil (leaving a air gap) before your timber cladding is installed.
