Project Overview.
This Sorrento features our signature Horizon Sauna nestled beside a natural stone waterfall and rock-lined pool. It is a design that seamlessly blends luxury craftsmanship with the raw beauty of its coastal surroundings, creating a contrast between modern architectural lines and organic landscape elements.
This project was defined by its dramatic setting. Positioned alongside a cascading stone waterfall and a deep, rock-lined pool, the brief was to introduce a wellness space that felt like a natural extension of this rugged, coastal landscape rather than a standalone addition.
We utilised our signature Horizon model as the architectural anchor. The clean, modern lines of the structure provide a deliberate contrast to the organic, irregular forms of the stone and water, creating a striking visual balance.
Inside, the sauna is lined with premium Accoya timber, selected not only for its refined, blonde aesthetic which mirrors the soft coastal light, but for its superior durability in seaside conditions. The spacious interior features our signature two-tier benching and a full glass front, ensuring the connection to the water features remains unbroken even while in the heat.
Heating is delivered by a high-performance HUUM unit. Its organic, water-drop shape mirrors the nearby waterfall, while the high stone capacity delivers a soft, enduring steam. The atmosphere is controlled by fully integrated, indirect LED lighting behind the backrests, allowing the mood to shift from a bright morning session to a subdued evening ritual.
The placement here is key. By positioning The Horizon directly adjacent to the pool, we unlocked a seamless hot-and-cold therapy circuit. The owners can transition effortlessly from the intense heat of the sauna to the refreshing cool of the pool. The result is a private sanctuary that feels established, intentional, and perfectly tuned to the relaxed luxury of Sorrento living.
